A PIECE OF VIENNA.
ON THE PLATE
AND IN THE GLASS
VIENNESE CUISINE. IN THE HEART OF VIENNA.
DAILY FROM 11:00.
Good to have you here
The wienerin has always been a cosy place. On Petersplatz, in the shadow of St. Peter’s Church, we serve Viennese classics. Reinterpreted, made with regional ingredients.
With us you don’t just get the classic Wiener Schnitzel, you get a piece of Vienna. From the veal butter schnitzel to the wine and the beer, we deliberately work with producers from the city and the surrounding region. Because what grows and is made right on our doorstep simply tastes best.
DISH OF THE MONTH
HISTORY ON THE PLATE
EVERY MONTH TELLS A VIENNESE STORY.
SNAILS FROM PETERSPLATZ
For centuries, Vienna’s snail market stood right outside our door. The Schneckenweiber, the snail women, sold what people then called “Viennese oysters”, a Lenten dish and a delicacy at once. Around 1860 the last traders left the square. In 2008 Andreas Gugumuck brought the Viennese snail back. On his farm in the south of the city he raises them again, among the vegetables they feed on. This October they return to Petersplatz, just as they were once served at the market.
OUR PRODUCERS & SUPPLIERSLUNCH SPECIAL

For those precious minutes of your lunch break, our business plate is ready and served fast. A Viennese lunch break with a new menu every week.
Vienna’s wine renaissance
Vienna is one of the few major cities in the world with its own vineyards.
Together in the WienWein group, several of our winemakers brought the Wiener Gemischter Satz (Vienna’s traditional field blend) back from obscurity and secured it a protected designation of origin (DAC). What’s in your glass here is nothing less than Vienna’s wine renaissance.
